Artist: Bobbi Eike Mullen

A recognized New England artist, Bobbi Mullen began her art career as a small child. The recipient of many awards, she exhibits in galleries on both the East and West coast.

"Creativity is a progression through uncharted territory. The artist is not concerned with a destination, merely the journey. Through acquired craftsmanship, a map of application is formed. When artist becomes teacher, it is the student who inspires the way."

An innovative instructor, Mullen teaches oil, acrylic and water media painting at the Wooster Community Art Center in Danbury, and conducts workshops on location throughout New England. While exploring various approaches to subject matter, she was inspired by the Southwest. She is equally adept at painting still life, landscape and figure, working confidently in many media, sometimes combining materials or creating collages. Her deep understanding of color informs her imaginative works of art.
