02/ 09/ 04 $375,000 Raised at West Hartford Live Auction!

(Hartford, Ct. Feb 8, 2004) A stunning $378,000 was raised at the CowParade Live Gala Cattle Auction Feb. 7 at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts in Hartford. The Cow art auction benefits Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and more than 45 local charities. It was the most successful U.S. CowP arade Auction since 2001, surpassing the cattle auctions following the Atlanta, San Antonio and Las Vegas CowParade exhibitions.
An Internet Auction on www. cowparade.com is now in progress for six of the artsy cows, and runs through February 18. The Internet Auction is expected to significantly increase last night’s Live Auction and Silent Auction total dollars raised.
CowParade West Hartford Center “The Cows Come Home” was presented by Guida's Milk and Ice Cream, sponsored by local businesses and stampeded through the town Sept 3 - December 4, 2003. Over sixty original works of cow art, created by local artists, roamed the streets, corralling a media whirlwind and a frenzy of tourists from throughout the US and the world. Event partner was NRG Connecticut LLC.
