About the Artists:

Patrick Dennis is an oil painter whose works evoke subtle changes of atmospheric light in landscape and non-representational works. Recently relocated from Georgia, he currently owns Working Artist Studio & Patrick Gallery in Cambria, CA.

Tish Rodgers is an accomplished acrylic painter specializing in sea life and iconic images of the California coast. As the former Director of the Cambria Center for the Arts Allied Arts Alliance, she has orchestrated exhibits as well as participated in numerous events featuring regional fine arts.

Tell us about the “Coastal Cow.”

This collaboration depicts the Central Coast’s exotic sea life environment. Components include humpback whales rendered in paint swimming in deep water and a pelican made from mixed media materials diving into the ‘surface’ of the water.

This thematic entry celebrates the bounty of aquatic activity as seen from a variety of perspectives as if the viewer were peering into and above the ocean scene.
