About the Artist: 

At the young age of 48, I still find myself as an artist. I have been doing artwork most of my life. I began art classes in Junior High School and eventually studied Art at Cuesta College. Though I was born and raised in San Diego, as soon as I integrated into the Central Coast I decided to stay. I obtained my BS in City and Regional Planning from Cal Poly SLO and have been here ever since. I am now happily living in Morro Bay and am very excited to be apart of CowParade SLO.

Why did you paint “John Cowe”?

We can thank JB Dewar for his idea of having a tractor as part of the Cow Parade Herd.  One of many icons of the San Luis Obispo County would be its agriculture.  Thus, a perfect fit to include a tractor as part of the SLO County Cow Parade.I will be integrating the design of a 1924 John Deere “D” tractor into the design of the cow, AKA “John Cowe”.
