About the Artist:

Vine_Mary Clark-CamargoI am a mosaic artist with residences in Pasadena, CA and Paso Robles. I live near the vineyards on the west side of Paso Robles and am always amazed with the natural beauty of the area. Over the years I have watched the wine industry explode in the area. I would be proud to represent both with The Vineyard Diva. I must admit I have been a fan of the CowParade program for many years and was hoping it would someday it would make it’s way to the central coast. I have also wanted to represent the natural splendor of the area in a mosaic. This is definitely on my artistic bucket list.

I know that mosaic is a lot more labor intensive than painting, but I have proven skills and time to do it. I have done many public art projects in mosaic including elementary schools so I am very aware of safety concerns and have methods to assure that my surfaces are smooth and touchable.

Tell us a little about your “Vineyard Diva”?

The Vineyard Diva is a bovine beauty hailing from the wine country on the west side of Paso Robles.

She is a lovely shade of burgundy just like the wines from her region as well as accented in gold as any pretty princess would be.
She is a hybrid of painted and mosaic surfaces with her sides portraying the majestic vineyard vistas of her home in glass mosaic. Around her neck she proudly wears a mosaic wreath of grapevines befitting her stature as one of the luckiest cows in the world.
